Year-End Tax Planning

Deadlines published for year-end gifts to Raymond James Charitable Endowment Fund

The end of the year is a popular time for donors to make contributions. The processing of securities can often be slow – which can have tax implications. The table below can help you plan your year-end contributions and ensure that your contributions will be processed within the tax year.

Money Wire Instruct your financial institution to wire funds to the Raymond James Charitable Endowment Fund (with your account number) on or before December 29, 2009. Stock or Bond Certificate Complete the Gift of Stock or Bond Certificate form* and postmark on or before November 30, 2009. The Stock/Bond Power form* is also required and should be sent in a separate envelope. November 30, 2009**

*For first time contributions, a Donor Account Application must be completed and signed and accompany gift assets.

**Deadlines are our recommendation only. For physical certificates and assets held away from Raymond James, the transfer process is beyond our control. While every effort will be made to effect a timely transfer of these assets, since other institutions control the actual process, no assurance can be offered that the gift will be completed by 12/31/09 even if the appropriate gift documentation is received prior to the deadline noted.
